Tips on reuse

1. I'm a frugal person. I cut the old or unused shirt n divided into few pieces. They work great on table n counter top, and I just toss them in washing machine after using  so I always have a clean wipe cloth.

2. I also reuse my pasta jar to keep my spices like cinnamon stick, black pepper etc. Save some money to buy spice rack. ( although i did have one from Canadian Tire for display)

3. But I don't like reuse plastic bag as a garbage bag, they're not strong enough for kitchen waste. I'm using the one with string, convenience and easy to grab n tide.

4. Old newspaper work great when you're working with fish n meat on the table, always had it ready with you but don't let it stuck like a mountain; u might want to sell to old paper guy.

5. Food container? Hem, I did keep some but if i didn't use it after a month or the lid is missing, I know its time to throw it.

How about you? Did you reuse in your house? I just had to watch on keeping and reusing it before my kitchen turns into junk yard.Just keep it what I need and throw the rest. No need to be guilty, its only a waste.

Habit of the month

This month we will concentrate in kitchen area. Somebody told me  that repeating an action forty consecutive days will turn into a habit. So this month,as suggested in One Year to an Organize Life , I must

1. Wash dishes rather than leave them languishing in the sink/table.

2. Put the clean dishes away immediately

3. Wipe off the cousters/table after each use

4. Take out the garbage before sleep

5.  Swept the floor after meal.

I prefer to mop the floor in the morning, during my boy at school and his little bro take a nap. Its the only time work for me. Any tips for shining and cleaning floor? Use microfiber mop, save time and energy. I don't use any floor cleaner, because I had a baby cruising everywhere .

I'd been doing these 4 days straight and hope it will go continuously . Wish me a luck.

Organizing Challenge- One year to an organize life

I started read this book last week and taught to take this challenge to reorganize back the house. One year to an organize life is written by Regina Leeds, please check her website here  http://www.reginaleeds.com/  DH said that instead of starting next year ( the book shows each month projects starting January ), why don't I start now? We need a system that is simple and not complicated. We tried so many things but always end up with lots of junks. Almost every month  I had to get rid all the stuff ( spring cleaning) and its tiring me.h b

I will update the progress in this blog. She use the Zen organize concept but I think I'll work my way.  This month is to concentrate the kitchen area which I already covered in one day.. hehehehehehehe. I have already organized and done a spring cleaning the kitchen, it just need a touch up and reorganize. I throw all the junks including the useless cake decorating tools.
